    - A boat ride away is some of the most spectacular dive sites in the Philippines which includes Lipo
Islands, Caban Cave, Sombrero Islands, and Verde Islands.
    - The province itself is best known for its rich history. Some of the country’s leading nationalists,
like Claro M. Recto, came from Batangas. Matabungkay is near the town of Taal, the site of Taal
Heritage Village which houses some of the most important and priceless archaeological treasures
from the Spanish colonial era. Attractions in the village includes the Leon Apacible Historical
Landmark, the Marcelo Marino Agoncillo Museum & Monument, the Basilica of San Martin de
Tours, and the Church of Our Lady of Casaycasay.
