Area Covered
Project Description
The resort was conceptualized to complement the steady stream of tourists flocking to the area. It is but natural to provide accommodations to tourists who, after seeing the MacArthur Landing Monument, extended their vacation in the town when they discovered the splendid beach of Palo and the hospitality of its people.
Thus a "Class A" resort was built near the Monument to serve this purpose. It has two main structures: the first is a single story building, divided into rooms / cottages, fronting the beach. The second is a two-story hotel located behind the row of cottages. The rooms are fully carpeted, air-conditioned and tastefully decorated using indigenous materials. It also comes with private toilet & bath, hot / cold running water, cable TV, and telephone. Deluxe rooms have 1 single bed and 1 double bed; standard rooms have either a single or double bed. Average size per room is 28 sq. meters for duplex, 36 square meters for standard and 56 sq. meters for the suites. Pictures of the General and some memorabilia are displayed at various locations within the resort. Nightly entertainment is provided at the bar. It even has a schedule for ballroom dancing. All these set within a landscaped garden along the beach.
