    The number of tourists visiting Region I over a five-year period (1997-2001) averaged 348,002. It peaked in 1998 when 477,277 tourists flocked to the area. With the improving economy, it is expected that the region will again experience a steady influx of tourists in the coming years.

How to get there

    Agoo is approximately 4 ˝ hours from Manila by car. One only needs to take the North Expressway and exit at Mabalacat; drive along Mc Arthur Highway until you reach the town of Agoo La Union. If you would want to go there by public transport, you can take any of the buses plying the Manila to Ilocos route.
