The Philippine Tourism Authority, through the approved Corporate Budget intends to apply the sum of Four Hundred Forty Seven Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Five Pesos Only (P447,485.00) being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract for the Renovation of TEC Room, 6th Flr., DOT/PTA Bldg., T.M. Kalaw St., Ermita, Manila. Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at Bid opening.

     The Philippine Tourism Authority now calls for the submission of Letter of Intent (LOIs) from potential Bidders to apply for eligibility for the said project. Bidders should posses a valid PCAB license applicable to the above type and cost of the contract, have completed a similar contract with a value of at least fifty percent (50%) of the ABC within the last three (3) years, and meet the other minimum eligibility requirements stated in the Eligibility Documents.

Interested Bidders must submit their LOIs on - April 25-May 2, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the address given below and secure the Eligibility Documents therefrom. Applications for eligibility will be evaluated on a " pass/fail" basis. The submission of accomplished Eligibility Documents shall be not later than 2:00 p.m. on May 5, 2008 at the BAC Secretariat and to be opened shortly thereafter. Only those Bidders passing the eligibility check will be entitled to purchase the Bidding Documents.

     Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures as specified in the Implementing Rules and Regulations Part A (IRR-A) of Republic Act 9184 (R.A. 9184), otherwise known as the "Government Procurement Reform Act" and is restricted, unless otherwise stated, to organizations with at least seventy-five percent (75%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines. In accordance with the IRR-A R.A. 9184, only Bids from eligible Bidders will be opened. In accordance with IRR-A of R.A. 9184 a contract will only be awarded to the Lowest Calculated and Responsive Bidder who was determined as such during post-qualification.

     Interested parties may obtain further information from Philippine Tourism Authority and inspect the necessary Documents at the Address given below from 8:00 AM to 5:00 P.M. on April 25-May 2, 2008.

    A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by Bidders that passed the eligibility check upon presentation of the Notice of Eligibility to the BAC Secretariat, at the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of P 1,000.00. The Bidding Documents shall be received personally by the bidder or his authorized representative on May 6-8, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 P.M.

     The Philippine Tourism Authority will hold a Pre-Bid Conference open to all Eligible Bidders on May 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the following address:

     Eligible Bidders must submit their Bids at the BAC Secretariat not later than 2:00 p.m. on May 21, 2008. . Bid opening shall follow thereafter. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security in the form and amount stated in ITB. Late Bids shall not be accepted. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

     Completion of the Works required is 30 calendar days.
     Required PCAB License: Category C & D
     and Registration Particulars: Small B- Building

     Cost of Eligiblity Documents: P 500.00

     The PTA reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, to annul the bidding process, and to reject all Bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affectd Bidder or Bidders.
