The start of the harvesting season, farmers celebrate the thanksgiving harvest ritual called "apuy". They open their sealed rice granaries to bring out the stored grains but before doing so, they have to bath their butchered sacred wooden idol or rice god called "bulul" with blood from their sacrificial animals, either chicken or pig. |
